As
a general contractor we approach a project from the traditional method
of building, which is design-bid-build. As the general contractor we take
the construction drawing which have been prepared by the owner’s
architect and we go to market to secure pricing from our subcontractors.
Once we have assembled all the subcontractor pricing we submit our “Lump
Sum” price to the owner for his review. The “Lump Sum”
price is the selection criteria for the owner. After the award of the
project we manage and direct all subcontractors in constructing the building
as designed.
Functioning in the role of a General Contractor it affords us the ability
to understand the market conditions, maintain qualified staff and develop
relationships with the subcontracting community which enhances our strengths
in our non-traditional approaches to building such as Design Build and
Construction Management.
